The Federation Council called the scale of the pension increase after indexation
“If we said that the indexation of 5.9% is an average of 1,000 rubles. increase (with an indexation of 8.6%), it (increase) will be higher, of course, somewhere around 1400 rubles. I assume that the indexation will take place from January 1, 2022, because the pension, according to the law, should be indexed from January 1,” Bibikova said.
According to her, if the pension is higher than the average, then the increase after indexation will be higher.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to solve the problem of pension indexation by 8.6%. The head of state announced it during a meeting with the country’s government.
