Russian Federation Council says Russia has enough resources to win the war

Valentina Matviyenko, President of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, said that Russia has sufficient resources to win the war against Ukraine.

Details: The President said that the Russian army is armed with the most modern weapons and equipment and that the Russian occupiers “act with humanity: they never use civilians as ‘human shields’, never fire on residential areas , never destroy social infrastructure and public services”.
Matviyenko added that Russian troops “never had been tainted by massacre prisoners of war“.
She reiterated the Kremlin’s narrative regarding the “opportunity” of the “special operation” in light of the grave danger allegedly threatening Russia. Matviyenko claimed that on the battlefield, Russia faces “not only the Ukrainian armed forces, but also the Nazi battalions, the collective West and NATO.” The result of the “special operation” will decide not only the existence of Russia “as an integral, sovereign and strong state, but also the shape of the world”.
Matviyenko also said that from September 1, all schools will have to start each week with a Russian flag-raising ceremony and the singing of the Russian national anthem. She added that many Russian senators will participate in “the patriotic education of schoolchildren from the regions they represent.”
She also thinks the history books need to be rewritten; in particular, discussions concerning the Second World War and the more recent history of Russia.
