Quote from Tsekov: “I absolutely agree that these regions should be with Russia. I think that everything can happen on a much larger scale (than the oblasts of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia – editor’s note).

I think that all territories controlled by Russia have a very high chance of reuniting with the Russian Federation. These are Russian territories.”

Details: According to him, the process of holding referendums in the oblasts of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia on “joining” Russia will be “pretty fast, within a year”.

Tsekov also believes that Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donbass will be able to finance their own recovery, because “these are budget-generating regions, donor regions”, from which, allegedly, “Western Ukraine sucked everything”.

The senator-collaborator also said that they could not “abandon the inhabitants of cities like Kharkiv and Izium, and thus allow the nationalists to come and start torturing the inhabitants”.

For reference: Sergei Tsekov is a Ukrainian collaborator with Russia, a former Ukrainian and now Russian politician and senator. He was the first member of the Russian Federation Council representing the Crimean occupation authorities since September 24, 2014.

In 2014, Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine based on a so-called “referendum”.

Previously: On May 29, the so-called authorities of the Kherson civil-military administration appointed by the invaders announced that they were going to “annex” Kherson Oblast to Russia Next yearand that in order to do this, it will probably be necessary to organize a “referendum” after all.
