Ambassador of Belarus meets with Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council

MOSCOW, Sept. 8 (BelTA) — Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi and Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Yury Vorobyov discussed the prospects for cooperation between Belarus and Russia and the process of integration into the Union State of Belarus and Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
“The parties discussed preparations for the visit to Moscow of a parliamentary delegation headed by the President of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova, as well as preparations for the 10th edition of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia to be held in Ufa in 2023. Topical issues on the domestic and foreign political agenda were also discussed,” the press service informed.
Dmitry Krutoi underlined the special role of parliaments in the legislative support of the 28 programs of the State of the Union. More than 400 regulations and bilateral agreements must be adopted to implement these programs. “During the discussion on the preparations for the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, the Ambassador expressed confidence that Belarusian and Russian senators will make a significant contribution to expanding interregional cooperation and strengthening contacts Yuri Vorobiev believes that ‘the tenth anniversary forum should highlight the milestones of dialogue and cooperation between the regions of the two countries, outline the prospects for cooperation for the future’”, added the press service.
